David Stallcup, 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
Funeral will be at 10:00 am at Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine, Texas. Graveside service will be
at 11:30 am at Bourland Cemetery, Keller, Texas.
Dave was born on February 1, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Dr. Vance Stallcup and Alice James. He
attended and graduated from the University of North Texas with 2 Bachelor Degrees. One in
banking and finance and the other in Economics. Later he worked for 30 years in Insurance
Management of Claims. In 1983, he married Peggy Neece, whom he loved very deeply and
resided in Irving and later moving to North Richland Hills.
In school, he excelled in football and basketball at Celina High School where he became the first
4 year letterman. Dave had a deep love for his family. He was an avid outdoors man who spent time on his Rocky Top Ranch in the Hill country. He loved hunting anything. His greatest trophy was a 12 point elk that weighed hundreds of pounds!
Dave was preceded in death by his father Dr. Vance Stallcup, his mother Alice James Stallcup
and his grandson Jason Bell.
Survivors are his wife Peggy Stallcup, sister Nancy Kenley, children Mark Stallcup, Rebecca
Wood, Jennifer Huber, Stan Taber and Jennifer Bell. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and
10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
