Dean Lewis Goodwin, Jr., 79, passed away on August 28, 2021. He was born on May 9th, 1942 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania and relocated to Texas in 1990. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Dean spent his life loving his wife and family. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He loved his Pomeranian “fur babies” – especially his little Keiko! Dean was a retired electrician and enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his wife.
Dean is survived by his wife, Shirley Goodwin of Fort Worth, his 8 children: Matthew Pankrez, Robert Goodwin, Catherine Ybarra, Mark Goodwin, Theresa Goodwin, Jonathan Pankrez, Vincent Goodwin, and Patricia Waite, 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 beginning with visitation at 12:30pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas.

Committal Service with military honors will be at Bourland Cemetery in Keller, Texas at 3:00pm. Carl Lorey will be officiating. Pallbearers are Matthew Pankrez, Robert Goodwin, Mark Goodwin, Jonathan Pankrez, Vincent Goodwin, and Joel Pankrez.
The family will be hosting a reception immediately following the graveside service at 421 Sandy Creek Drive Fort Worth, Texas 76131. All are welcome to attend this celebration of Dean’s life.
