It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Lynn McAlister, who peacefully departed from this world on September 3, 2024, at the age of 53. Debra was born on October 24, 1970, in Lafayette, IN.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Tim McAlister, son Alexander Cantu, daughter Samantha Cantu, parents Dr. Gary Sanger and wife Glenda and Pauline Pitre and husband Travis, brother Sean Smith and wife Lexie, sister Constance Freeland and husband Sean, step-brother Travis Kennison, step-sister Alexandria Pitre, nieces Kayce Smith and Audrey Freeland and nephew Harrison Freeland.
Debra was a pillar of her community, dedicating her time and passion to various endeavors. Her volunteer work with Boy Scout Troop 32 in Keller exemplified her commitment to the betterment of those around her. Professionally, Debra shone in the fields of hospitality and property management, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with her.
Beyond her work, Debra found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often seen capturing moments through her lens or engaging in invigorating workout sessions. Her vibrant spirit and kind demeanor resonated with all who crossed her path, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.
Funeral services will be held to honor Debra's memory. A visitation will take place at Lucas Funeral Home - Keller on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. A Mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Friday September 13, 2024, at 10:30 am, preceding the burial at Bourland Cemetery.
