Debra Lynne Nix, 53, passed away January 4, 2017.
Celebration of Life will be held in Kingsville, Texas at a later date.

Debbie was born January 23, 1963 in Kingsville, Texas. She was raised in Kingsville and graduated from Texas A&I University.
She was a dedicated teacher for many years and loved challenging her students. She especially loved history and taught it with fervor and excitement, encouraging her students to be involved in life and rewards. She spent many summers with her students in Washington DC in hands-on history lessons.
Debbie played golf in her earlier years and used that love of sports to coach girls' volleyball and basketball, becoming a UIL coach. She had begun quilting, encouraged by her aunt and cousins.
We all will miss her laughter, friendly kidding around, and enthusiastic discussions of life, sports, and politics. She and Jesus are probably discussing the state of the world, right now.
We are thankful that she is now well and happy with Jesus.
Preceded in death by her father, Edward Leon Nix.
Survived by her mother, Patricia Ann Nix and many loving aunts, uncles, friends, and students.
