Delores Fern Deason, age 88, died on Friday, September 11, 2020. Fern was born onSeptember 6, 1932 in Walnut Springs, Texas to Hazel and Loy Hillard. At age 16, Fern married her life long love, Willard Deason and their adventure lasted for 67 years until his death in 2015.
Fern was a dedicated employee at Chance Vought (later named LTV) for 25 years. Along the way, she also became a Real Estate Broker, an Antique Dealer and contributed articles for the local newspaper in Hillsboro, Texas. Her family was the absolute joy of her life. She invested her time, talent and treasure in them spending many summers going on adventures and making cherished memories with her beloved grandchildren. She died peacefully in the presence of her daughter, Gay, and her caretakers. She presently resides at her new home in Heaven where she is preparing for the next family reunion.
Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Deason, her parents, Loy and Hazel Hillard and her granddaughter, Christy Drenowatz.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gay Ford and husband, Kelly, and Loy Deason and wife, Susan. Her grandchildren are: Melissa Elfers and husband, Greg, Lee Deason, David Ford, Michael Ford and wife, Shelley, Bryan Ford and wife, Treasure. Her great grandchildren are: Chandler, Daniel and Caleb Ford, Madison and Brooke Drenowatz.
