KELLER -- Dennis Lee Arens passed away October 11, 2013. Funeral: 11:00 am Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Visitation: 4-6 pm Wednesday, October 16 at the funeral home. Interment: 10:30 am Friday at Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery.
Dennis was born on December 22, 1942 to Joseph and Mary Arens in St Louis, Mo. Dennis was a graduate of Ritenour High school in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, MO with a masters degree in communications. He was married to his loving wife Shirley on November 8, 1969. Dennis spent 24 years in the United States Navy, retiring as Chief Warrant officer. His dedication to his country was one of hero in progress. He spent the last years of his life working endlessly with the tea party, a group of fellow workers who appreciated his devotion and dedication.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley Arens; daughter, Carree and husband Philip Farmer; son, Jesse Arens; grandchildren, Erica Garza, Kendall Garza, Colton Farmer, Jackson Farmer, and Jennifer Arens; brothers, Joe Arens, Stephen Arens, Michael Arens, Thomas Arens, Kevin Arens, Glennon Arens and Gregory Arens; sisters, Mary Hughes, Lindsay Nix, Susan Blackwell, Christine Higgs, Nancy Tillotson, Anne Schenck, Lisa Linehan, Julie Harding and Laurel Lindner; and many other extended family and friends.
