Dennis Lyle Dobbins

Dennis Dobbins was born September 9th, 1944 to Hubert and Doris Dobbins of Ft. Worth, Texas. On December 24th, 2018 he passed away surrounded by his loved ones.
In high school, Dennis met his high school sweetheart Margie Summerhill and they married May 15th, 1964. Shortly after graduating high school Dennis joined the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he joined American Airlines. He worked his way up to being manager. Dennis retired from American Airlines in 2014 after 44 years if service.
Dennis always had a love for music. Starting at a young age he started learning instruments in which he continued until his passing. Dennis loved playing bass with his fellow friends and their band, Blue Water Band.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife Margie of 54 years. Daughter; Sherry Simmons and her husband, Robert Ballatine, Montana, Son: Tony Dobbins and wife Jo Ann, Bedford, Texas, Grandchildren; Megan Longacre and husband, Aaron, Avarie Simmons, Robbie Simmons, and Sarah Dobbins, Brother; Gary Dobbins and wife, Anna, Aunt; Betty Ethetton and many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Doris Dobbins
He was a loving husband, father, papa and friend. Dennis will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
