Devin Michael Lathrop

Devin Michael Lathrop, resident of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Colleyville, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 30 years.
Devin was born in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on June 26, 1993. He moved with his family to Colleyville, Texas in 1996 where he grew up. He graduated from Grapevine High School and studied for a couple of years at Sam Houston State University. He lived for some time in New Orleans before finally moving to Dallas, Texas. He was an avid gamer, even competing at a professional level. He spent several years in power lifting and fitness. He worked in the service industry for years at high end restaurants and bars. He loved cooking, barbecuing, spicy foods and making others laugh.
Devin had a kind and loving heart, always wanting to make his family and friends happy. He will be missed.
Devin is survived by his mother, Lori, brothers, Jeff and Jesse (Holly), sister, Chelsea (Justin), niece Avery, and nephew Aiden along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Devin was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Lathrop.
The memorial will be held on April 20th, 2024, at 10am at Lucas Funeral Home at 518 Southwest Johnson Avenue, Burleson, TX 76028.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Donations may be sent in check or money order payable to “The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism” with a letter stating that the money is to be used for research at the NIAAA.
