Grandpa Lee was born April 17, 1939, the son of George Lee Cogburn and Mildred Gregory Smith. He was an old cowboy. His joys in life were watching his kids and grandkids grow, lake days, lottery tickets and Marlboro Lights.
He passed peacefully at home with close family by his bedside. He will be reuniting with his wife of 47 years, Teri Cogburn, his daughter, Ginger Husch, his parents and his brother and sister.
He is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Leigha and Bryan Andrews of Keller, Dawn McGirr of Davison, Michigan and Dale Husch of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Bryleigh, Bryson, Samantha, Amanda, Tony and Raini; six great grandchildren, Sadie Maeve, Mason, Kaylee, Arielle, Madilynne and Annabelle; his "adoptive Illinois family," Kathleen, Trevor, Toby Kate, Sarah and Patrick; several nieces and nephews; and one pickup truck.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 03, 2024, from 4pm - 6pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main Street, Keller, Texas. In honor of Grandpa Lee's wishes, he will be cremated.
