Diane Marie Castillo
Diane Marie Castillo went to be with her Father in heaven on Wednesday, September 28,2022. She passed away after a long illness. She is survived by her parents, Mr. &Mrs. Jasper V. Castillo Jr. (Dora), two brothers and two sisters : Ms. Judith A. Castillo, Mr. Rick Castillo MBA, Dr. & Mrs. Jasper V. Castillo III( Kristine), and Mary E. Castillo RN and partner Tom Let.
Nieces and Nephews are Elizabeth A. Castillo RN and partner Jesse Hernandez, Mr. & Mrs. Tyler J. Castillo(Genna), Dr. Jayme E. Castillo, and Rachael O. Castillo RN, and Lance Corporal Colton J. Castillo and finally the grand nephew and niece. Elijah J. Hernandez, and Nora A Castillo. Plus cousins too numerous to mention.
Diane was born in Houston, Texas on May 24,1965 and moved with her parents and siblings to Burleson, Texas in 1972. The family were members of St Ann’s Catholic Church, Burleson, Tx.
Diane was a woman of letters. With 1997 B.S. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics (CUP program), UT Southwestern Medical University; 1988 B.S. Texas Christian University. She graduated from Burleson High School in 1983.
Diane was a registered member of at least two professional associations: National Kidney Foundation of Fort Worth and a Registered Dietician with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
Diane was greatly admired by dialysis patients due to her survival of two successful kidney transplants yet she continued to work as a Professional Dietitian.
Diane was a world traveler. She went to Paris & Lourdes, France. She went to Vera Cruz, Cozumel Mexico. She travelled to San Juan, Puerto Rico. She went Medjugorje, Yugoslavia. She went to Montreal & Quebec Canada She travelled all over the United States.
Diane was the genealogist in our family following in her father’s footsteps. She has over five thousand relatives living in the world.
She was an artist in several mediums. She loved to draw and sketch. She enjoyed knitting and would watch or listen to her podcasts. She painted objects be it rocks, birdhouses, canvas, or herself.
