Diego Ignacio Castro-Serrito

Diego Ignacio Castro Serrito, 18, passed away on May 2, 2023 in San Jon, New Mexico.  Diego was born August 3, 2004 to Yanci Serrito Osegueda and Jose W. Castro Baires.

Diego started at Warwick High School (Newport News, VA) and attended South Garland High School (Garland, TX) and was on the Varsity Soccer team for South Garland High School.  Diego had achievements such as Honor Roll, Honor Society, Varsity Soccer Letter, Commonwealth of Virginia House of Delegates Richmond, Certificate in recognition of demonstrating a positive attitude, good character, and responsible citizenship , Principals award for ICARE Youth Development Project, and AP Classes.

Diego was interested in dragstrip racing, playing video games, outdoor activities but loved to play soccer.  He was a part of soccer clubs such as (FC Yorktown, Virginia Legacy Soccer Club, Tigers Club and San Vicente).  Diego had another passion; he wanted to become a truck driver but it wasn’t going to stop there.  He wanted to get his CDL, use that to pay his way through college and one day own his own company.

Diego is survived by his parents Yanci Serrito Osegueda and Jose W. Castro Baires, his siblings Edson Castro Serrito, Joshua Bonilla Serrito and his bonus siblings Daniela Castro, Christopher Castro.
