Dolores Hepler passed away on August 24, 2017 in Bedford, TX. She was born to parents, Ernest and Mary McBrien on September 6, 1941 in Chicago, IL. Dee grew up in Whiting, Indiana where she graduated from Whiting High School. She was voted Whiting's Ms. 4th of July.
Dee also received her Associates degree from TCCC. She worked in accounting as well as a secretary for many years. The most rewarding work that she loved was as a teacher of Business and English courses at ATI Career Training and also at GST working with first responders and their departments.
She loved reading, bird watching, playing games on her tablet, and visiting Winstar Casino in Oklahoma. She also enjoyed the long weekend get-aways with no destination as long as it was near a lake. Dee greatly enjoyed camping, swimming with her family and she loved to dance, especially the Texas Two-Step.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Rena Otto; mother, Mary Dunlap and father, Ernest McBrien.
Dee is survived by daughter, Leane Christianson; son, Ty Hepler; grandchildren, Rachael Mattox, Ben Otto, Kelsey Bowers-Christianson and Piper Mae Woodfin-Hepler; sisters, Janet Borden, Charlene Norvell, and Helen Williams and many other extended family members.
