Dolores Leilani Jennings, aged 85, passed away in the comfort of her own home January 5th, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Dolores was born August 10th, 1937 in Miami, Florida to loving parents John L. Rhodes and Catherine Cooley. She attended Santa Clara Elementary, Robert E. Lee Junior High School, and Miami Jackson Senior High, where she graduated in 1955. Dolores was a majorette in the high school marching band and USLO Batons. She was active in her church throughout her life, including singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school.
Dolores' work life centered around banking, office secretarial admin, and notary work.
Just before her birthday in 1958 (August 9th), she married the love of her life, Mr. George Jennings, and they lived in wedded bliss for 64 ½ years.
Dolores loved her Lord and her family above all else, spending time traveling and camping with those she loved.
Dolores is preceded in death by her father, John L. Rhodes; her mother, Catherine Cooley; her stepfather, Grayson McDowell; and her beloved daughter Tami Beth Jennings.
Dolores is survived by her adoring husband, George Jennings; her sons, Dale Jennings (Cindy) and Brian Jennings; her grandchildren, Alexis Jennings and Spencer Jennings; and extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Dolores Jennings at 6 o'clock pm on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. A funeral service will be held, and livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person, at 10 o'clock am in the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel in Keller, Texas, with a committal service to follow at Bourland Cemetery.
