She was born on July 15, 1934, in Watertown, New York, to the late Thelma Beverly Scoville O'Neil and William Henry Gadbaw. Dolores was known for her remarkable character and cherished role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Dolores lived her life with an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She found joy in spending quality time with loved ones, often sharing laughter and special moments in their company. Dolores's selflessness and compassionate nature endeared her to all who knew her. She had an innate ability to uplift those experiencing difficult times, bringing brightness and gratitude to their lives. Dolores had a captivating smile, infectious laughter, and a positive outlook on life - she believed in embracing each day with gratitude and happiness. Throughout her professional journey, Dolores accumulated more than 25 years of experience in Retail Sales Management and home interior design. Alongside her beloved husband, she built a successful restaurant business and embarked on various entrepreneurial endeavors. Dolores also had a passion for literature and actively participated in her local book club. She enjoyed indulging her green thumb through gardening pursuits and possessed exceptional skill in interior decorating. Moreover, Dolores possessed the gift of gab, always eager to strike up a conversation and lend an empathetic ear to those around her.

Dolores leaves behind her cherished spouse, James Eugene Mize, and their children: James William Mize and his spouse Lynne Marie Mize, Abigail Lee Walsh and her spouse John Francis Walsh, Julie Ann Maddux and her spouse James Ricky Maddux, and Melissa Jane Gable and her spouse Stephan David Gable Jr. She was an adored grandmother to Jena Renee Sorenson, spouse Will Sorenson, Kasey Alexandra Mize, Justine Emma Teresa Orru, August James Mize, James Robert Mize and spouse Katherine Strout Mize, Joshua Raleigh Maddux, and Jeffrey William Mize. Dolores also held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren: Colby Reed Sorenson, Eli James Sorenson, and Preslee Ann Sorenson. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Thelma Beverly Scoville O'Neil, her father, William Henry Gadbaw, and her brother, Ronald Gadbaw.
