Dolores Pocsik

Dolores Ann Pocsik, 86, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, with family at her side.Born on January 28, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, Dolores was the oldest of three siblings. She grew up in Los Angeles, California where in 1957 she married the love of her life, the late Stephen J Pocsik Sr. They shared 61 years of love and devotion to each other. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Linda. 

Dolores was a loving mother of two, a friend to her Yorkies, and shared many of her artistic talents with her family. She was an avid reader, a talented artist, a gourmet cook and an excellent conversationalist. During her final years of marriage, she and her husband developed a passion for Italy where they traveled seven years in a row, becoming quite the experts of the Tuscany region.

Dolores is survived by her brother, Gerald Schlund, her son Steve J Pocsik, five grandchildren, Jacob and Mike Mobley, Steve M Pocsik, Michelle Buck, Lauren Wendes and nine greatgrandchildren, Bryson, Peyton, Matthew, Hunter, Vince, Holly, Daniel, Grace and “new baby” who will arrive in March! 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2025, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Flower Mound. Following, will be a “celebration of life” at the home of Steve and Judy Pocsik in Flower Mound. Internment will be a private affair later in the month.
