Don Russell Abbott, 59 of Burleson passed away Sat. Dec. 10, 2016. Don was born in Ft Worth on June 8, 1957 and was a lifelong resident of Burleson. He attended school 1st-12th grade in Burleson and went to McLennan Community College in Waco to receive his AA. Soon after he started his career at Triumph Aerostructures and has been there for 30+ years.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Joel and Lucille Abbott of Burleson. He is survived by his daughter Heather Abbott of Florida, best friends, David and Susan McDonald of Burleson, and his extended family in Texas.
Don’s favorite hobbies were bowling, fishing, going to the shooting range, watching wrestling and western shows. He enjoyed being outdoors and creating projects to do around the house. Most of all he loved surrounding himself each day with friends and family. He was a man who truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.
Don will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew him.
