Don Cowart

Murry Don Cowart passed away in Fort Worth on October 26, 2017.

The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 31 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Don's family will receive friends Monday October 30 from 5-7 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home.

Don was born in Mineola, Texas on January 28, 1942. He graduated from L. D. Bell High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he studied drafting. Don was married to Dorothy Lowe Williams on November 18, 1972 in Fort Worth. They were married for nearly 45 years. Don worked in the construction business for Cowart Construction Company for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandkids.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Irma and Josh Cowart, brother Danny Cowart and his first wife, Sherry Sizemore Cowart.

Don is survived by his spouse, Dorothy; daughters, Terrisa Coffman and husband, JD of Chico, and Donna Fuller and husband, Kelly of Bridgeport; son, Johnny Williams and wife, Sheila of Grand Prairie; sisters, Gwen Dixie of Dallas and Judy Hersey and husband, Lee of Mundford, England; grandchildren, Jessica Coffman and fiancé Ty Schlottmann of Trophy Club, Robyn Fluesche and husband, Chris of Decatur, Justin Williams and wife, Laura of Alvord, Melanie Gates and fiancé Ryan Murphy of Paradise, Patrick Greene of Euless, Derek Brisendine and wife, Collette of Washington, and Jerod Williams and wife, Nicole of Euless; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Don will be greatly missed by his large family and many friends.
