Don Jackson was born in Lubbock, TX on September 16, 1953 to Max and Mary Jane Jackson. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, he was the quarterback of the football team, and proudly wore #11. He attended Abilene Christian University and later graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A. in business management. Don married Kelly Fain of Littlefield, TX on August 25, 1973. He loved God, family, his Harley Davidson, and his home he referred to as “the ranch.” A proud daddy and grandaddy, he was always the on the sidelines, watching his kids on the field and court. He was so proud to see his “Pardner” Cameron play quarterback wearing #11. Don was an active member of The Hills Church.
Survivors: Loving wife Kelly Fain Jackson. Son, Greg Jackson. Daughters, Haley Tarango and husband Anthony, and Carrie Jackson. Grandson, Cameron Jackson. Parents, Max and Mary Jane Jackson. Brother, Dan Jackson and wife Michele. Nieces Kylee and Emma Jackson.
Other survivors include J.R. and Sharon Fain, Margaret Fain Bishop, Brett, Lance and Reid Bishop.
