Don Earl McKenzie 78, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at a local hospital.
Graveside Service with Military Honors Wednesday 11:00 am, March 14, 2018 in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst.

Don was a loving and caring person. He was open and honest and a true friend to a great number of people in this world. He touched many lives in his life and will be missed by all of us but never forgotten.
Don proudly served in the Air Force for 20 years retiring in the rank of Master Sergeant. He was part of the Stray Goose Squadron and he served two tours in Vietnam.
Don's career in electronics spanned across a wide field in the Air Force, Tracor, Tektronics and Metroplex Metrology Laboratory. He worked on the ground following radar while in the Air Force and on a wide variety of testing and calibration equipment in his civilian career.
In addition to his love of family and friends Don also had a love of cars, especially Corvettes. Throughout his life he owned and rebuilt and raced many different Corvettes.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Lewis McKenzie “Daddy Mac” and Juanita Joan Johnston “Nita Mother”.
Don is survived by his wife, Debrah McKenzie; sons, Kevin McKenzie, Eddie McKenzie, Bobby McKenzie and Don Scott McKenzie; daughters, Donna McKenzie and Stephanie McKenzie; brother, Mike McKenzie; sisters, Charlotte McKenzie Williams, Jackie McKenzie Cleveland and Mary McKenzie Cannon; grandchildren: Ian McKenzie, Katharine McKenzie, Jessica McKenzie, Rebecca McKenzie, Rob McKenzie, David McKenzie, Tiffany McKenzie, Jordin Teafatiller, Dylan Houp, Cole Harley, Cody Harley, Stacie Harley, Jackie Santoya, Robbie McKenzie, Sean Head, Brian Head, and Kacie Head: great-grandchildren, Kingston Bennett, Nyomi Ramirez, Kolton Stiner and Kendyll Stiner.
