Donald Ray Bleeker, 67, of Burleson passed away July 31, 2020 at his home. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 5-7pm, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Boulevard Baptist Church, 315 N Burleson Boulevard, Burleson, TX 76028, with Dr. Terry Williams and Pastor Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will to follow at Burleson Memorial Cemetery.
He was born June 23, 1953 in Temple, TX to George and Betty (Beaty) Bleeker.
Donald grew up in Burleson. He graduated from Burleson High School in 1971. After high school, he received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Tarrant County Community College in Fort Worth, and began working for Fort Worth Mortgage as an Operations Manager where he worked for 10 years. Donald worked with his brother, Lynn Bleeker, at Burleson Septic Cleaning for many years.
Donald married Ida in 1982 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They were happily married for 38 years. Donald was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and playing cards and games.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Bleeker; siblings, David Bleeker, Lynn Bleeker and Carol Bleeker Teague.
Donald is survived by his wife, Ida; children, Donald Ray Bleeker, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, Donielle Rai Ellis and husband, Cody, Melissa Carol Dressler and husband, Josh and Brandon George Bleeker; his brothers, Glynn Bleeker and wife, Kim and Charles Bleeker and wife Krista; grandchildren, Madalyn and Easton Bleeker, Owen, Jack and Autumn Ellis, Brodie and Berlin Dressler; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
