Donald Craig Boyd passed away Monday, January 1, 2018.
Donald was born April 17, 1936 in Oconto, Nebraska to the late Frank and Iris Boyd. He grew up in South Dakota's pheasant country. Donald never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing his life stories. He was a marketer by trade. Donald owned World of Printing for many years in Joplin, Missouri. Donald and Shirley operated the full service print company printing: phone books, brochures, business cards, and anything else that was brought their way. They also worked as a PR firm for a large regional trucking firm. Upon moving to Dallas, Donald worked and retired from Optimum Re.
Donald's hobbies included: pheasant hunting, fishing, and playing competitive chess. He enjoyed playing Chinese checkers with anyone who would join him. Donald was also quite the snooker player in his younger years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.
Donald was a devout Christian and member of First Baptist Euless. He served as a volunteer for 6 Stones for many years and was a door greeter for as long as his health would allow.
Survivors: His wife of 61 years, Shirley Ann Boyd; son, Craig Boyd and his wife, Gina; daughters, Sheri Boyd and Debbie Carter and her husband, James; grandchildren, C.J. Boyd and his wife, Sara, Anna Boyd, Stone Carter, Shianne Carter, and Grace Carter; great-grandson, Ben Carter; and sister, Naomi Kuchta.
