Fort Worth -- Donald Gibson Braswell, 88, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, in Fort Worth.
Inurnment: 11:30am (meeting in Lane "C" after 11am) at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Mr. Braswell will be honored at the Cemetery with full military honors.
Donald was born on May 25, 1928 in Iola, Kansas. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the military and served 2 years in the Navy and 21 years in the Air Force as an aircraft electronics specialist. After Air Force retirement in 1971, he worked as a county engineer in Iola and then as a supervisor for the Kansas Turnpike in Wichita. He became an avionics engineer for Beech Aircraft Company, retiring in 1991. While working at Beech, he earned his degree from Wichita State University. He was a lifetime 32nd-degree Mason and was passionate about Scottish bagpipe music, playing in the Midian Shrine pipes and drums band.
Survivors: Wife, Ernestine Braswell and sons, Mark and Steve Braswell.
