Don Goldring, 83, of North Richland Hills went to be with the Lord Monday, September 9, 2019.
He died peacefully in his home with family and friends by his side. Words cannot express how much he will be missed. If you knew Mr.G, you knew a good person.
Don was born in Arlington, Texas and had polio as an infant. Due to the loving care and devotion of his mother, Gladys, and his own determination, he was able to walk, run, play, work and enjoy a lifetime of movement. As he liked to say "I was one of the lucky ones I was able to work for 45 years". He was hard workin, friendly and a talkative Texas Man. He owned gravel trucks and went to work daily regardless of how he felt. We never heard him whine or dodge his responsibilities.
Family and friends were always welcome in his home and most were told beers in the garage get you one.
May he rest in peace.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and two brothers, Harry and Robert.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce; son, David and wife Janell, two precious granddaughters, Dallas and Sierra. One sister, June Agostini and brother in law Elio, sister-in-law, Dorothy Goldring; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Celebration of Dons Life will be held Saturday October 5, 2019, 5pm at the Goldring home in North Richland Hills and will include a service, dinner and visitation. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
