Donald Bernard McAllister
Donald was surrounded by his loving family as he went home to be with our Heavenly Father on November 18, 2021 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Don was born December 31, 1933 in Cresco Iowa to parents John A. McAllister and Louise Lickteig McAllister. Don was the eldest of three sons. Following high school, Don served as a cannoneer, with the 59th Field Artillery, US Army during the Korean War. Following two years of exemplary service, Don spent the last 66 years with the love of his life, Murliey J. Burke McAllister. He is survived by five children, Don, LuAnn, Tom, Maureen, Dan and nine grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Louise McAllister, brothers John (Chub) and Lloyd McAllister, and beloved daughter Susan McAllister.
Visitation and rosary will be held Sunday November 21, 6-8 pm at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 S. Main, Keller, TX. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Monday November 22, 11 AM, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, TX.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Children Hospital or to a local food bank.
