Donald "Gruffy" Pultz Jr.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Don "Gruffy" Pultz, 70, lost his fight with cancer and died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013.
Service: 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Memorials: To honor his memory, you may make a donation to Live Strong Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
Don was born in Sacramento, Calif., on May 21, 1943, to Donald L. Sr. and Nadine Nash Pultz. He was co-owner of McCoy Sales, a small engine repair business.
Gruffy was a giving person to the community with his service to the NRH Planning and Zoning board, as well as organizing and playing in several of the local Senior Musical Jam Sessions.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris M. Pultz, and his father, Donald L. Pultz Sr.
Survivors: Mother, Catherin Pultz; sisters, Gwenda Pultz-Nevins and Lynette Pultz-Coursey; brother, Gary R. Pultz; children, James Pultz and wife, Melissa, and their children, Logan and Zachary, Jerry Pultz and wife, Amanda, and their children, Kelcie and Halie, Tamy Spraggins and husband, Scott, and their children, Devin, Dylan and Destiny; longtime companion, Ann Dopkins and her children, Crystal Scott and husband, Everett, and their son, Ethan and Dale Rhodes and his daughter, Jane Rhodes.
