“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” Matthew 25:21
In the early morning of February 24, 2024, Donald Arvis Quick entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior.
Don was born on April 18, 1931 in Wellsville, New York to Lloyd Gilman Quick and Mary Elizabeth Bellamy. After graduating from Alfred University in upstate New York with a degree in ceramic engineering, Don began his long journey from a ceramic engineer to CEO of several corporations within the tile, brick, and textile industries. He would also intertwine years served with the US Army. Along with his ever-growing family, Don would be grateful for work opportunities that would allow him to travel all over the globe.
On February 21, 1953, Don married his high school sweetheart, Anna Ruth Dietze (Anne). They parented five children and had thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Don’s unwavering dedication to family and friends alike exuded the love his Father in Heaven presents to all he knew. Never would a day end without Don praying for over his loved ones.
Upon his passing, Don joins his wife Anne, son David, great grandson Noah, his parents, brother Bob, and many others who went before him to eternity. He is survived by four of his children: Dianne (Mark Wallace), Don (Mary Lou VanderVeldt), Debbie (David Newton), and Danny (Carey Gauer), as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Wanda (Richard Marble), sister-in-law, Marilyn (Felix Casaceli), brother-in-law Paul Dietze (Debbie), and many precious nieces and nephews.
Much of the family will honor and celebrate Don’s life during a family celebration at the gravesite near the long-time family home in Texas.
