Donn was born May 17, 1952 in Lansing, Michigan and passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born to Donald D. Hotchkin and Dolores J. Shipski Hotchkin.

He graduated from Waverly High School, in Lansing Michigan.

Donn proudly served his country in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician First Class from 1975 to 1983. He was trained in electronics, radar, and computers. He spent his time in the Navy at US Duty Stations (Great Lakes, San Diego, Norfolk and Vallejo). Additionally, he had a tour of duty on the USS Donald B. Beary, FF 1085. He cruised to the Caribbean, Mediterranean Sea, North Sea, Indian Ocean, and then the Persian Gulf in 1983. After the Navy, he worked for private companies in Information Technology (Payphones), then Homeland Security, the US Census and the Fort Worth Science and History Museum.

He especially loved taking pictures and the study of photography; his favorite Photographer was Ansel E. Adams. He enjoyed traveling and almost made it around the world, via his Navy travels and all 50 states with his Mom and Dad and then Cathy and boys.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Dolores Hotchkin.

Donn will forever be remembered by his loving wife and best friend of 45 years, Cathy (Catherine Snauko); two children, Jason Hotchkin and Philip Hotchkin and his wife Jessika; three grandchildren, Ryan, Easton and Maddox; four siblings, Lucinda, Bruce and his wife Terri, Jeff, Gary and his wife Mary; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended (Snauko) family, and many cherished and longtime friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Lucas Funeral Chapel, 1601 South Main St., Keller, Texas 76248.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carter Blood Care, Heart to Heart Hospice of Tarrant County, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 2513 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller, Texas.
