Donny Ray Isaacs

February 5, 1953 — May 24, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Donny Isaacs, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Donny was born on February 5, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Earl Isaacs and Opal Lee Long (Isaacs). He passed away on May 24, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones, after battling cancer.

He was preceded in death by His father Earl, Mother Opal, brothers Earnest and Thomas and sisters Opal Swinney, Mary Wade and Rhoda Isaacs, and his wife, Kim Yun Nam Isaacs. Survivors include, Sister Judy Kidwell of Austin TX, brother, Louise Earl (Butch) Isaacs, and wife Louise, from Houma Louisiana, Son David Isaacs and Wife Wioletta of London England; Daughter Tina Dewbre and husband Matt from Watauga TX.

Donny was a devoted husband to his wife, Kim. They met during his time in the army and were married for 46 years. They were inseparable until her death. Together, they raised two children in Wichita Falls until moving to the DFW area in 1992. Donny was a doting grandfather to his four grandchildren, Makaylia, Michael, Alex and Emily. Donny loved them fiercely.

Donny received his education from Hirschi High School and later served his country in the Army. He was proud of his time in service and carried that same level of commitment and dedication as a mechanic for over 30 years and then in car sales.

The loss of Donny is deeply felt by all who knew him. He was known for his infectious smile, his kind heart, and his unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. Donny was the type of person who would drop everything to be there for a friend, no matter what. He loved to make people laugh, and his sense of humor was unmatched. He made jokes and danced in his bed until the end.

Though he is no longer with us, Donny's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for the impact he made in the lives of those around him and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Donny Isaacs. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
