Doris Jane Dickson

Doris Jane Dickson, 91, passed away March 8, 2022 at Heart-to-Heart Hospice Care in Fort Worth. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, March 18, 2022 at Alsbury Baptist Church, 500 NE Alsbury in Burleson.
Doris was born December 8, 1930, in San Angelo, to Furman and Tressie Wooten. She grew up in San Angelo, graduated from San Angelo High School in 1946.
Doris married Jack Dickson on October 29, 1947, at Very Best Baptist Church, and they were happily married for 74 years. She was a member of Alsbury Baptist Church, and she enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Doris is survived by her husband, Jack Dickson of Burleson; daughter, Cherry Nixon and husband, Dwain of Burleson; son, Tracy Dickson and wife, Angie of Lubbock; grandchildren, Shay Utley and husband, Marcus, Dayna Liner, Amber Curry and husband, Bryan, Crystal Barrett and husband, Cody, and Andrea Rangel and husband, Brad; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Harris Southwest Hospital and Heart to Heart Hospice, as well as family and friends for their prayers and support.
