Doris Marie Hearn was born on September 27, 1936 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to the late Irene Marie (Williams) Copeland and Earl Dee Copeland. She went to Jesus peacefully at her home on February 25, 2023, at the age of 86 years old.
Our Mama had a strong faith, who lived the life of Proverbs 31. She guided and strengthened her family with incredible home cooked meals, endless love, tenderness, hugs and countless “I love you!” She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family, attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s football, basketball, baseball games, dance recitals, hockey games and golf tournaments, always cheering them on.
Mama’s love aside from her family, was her bowling friends and the adventures her and her best friends experienced traveling the world. She was always ready with the football pot for her Cowboys, even though they might not have won, she was excited when she won the big money square. Always on the hunt for a bargain, Mama loved going to garage and estate sales, even dragging daddy along, which he eventually enjoyed going to with her. Her true love and enjoyment was when she and Daddy hooked up the boat and set off for the crappie holes. She loved being on the water, out-fishing Daddy and of course, Little Bit went along on every ride happily snipping at every fish pulled in. It was fun times shared with all the family, the weekend camping trips and of course, the good food and fish fry.
Our Mama was reunited with Daddy, her loving and faithful husband of 62 years, her beloved son Michael and her family and friends gone before her. We know it was quite the reunion! Although there is a missing piece of our hearts, we know Mama is rejoicing in heaven and that we have the assurance we will be with her again for all of eternity.
We are all blessed to have loved her, our precious Mama and Grama, who always made us feel valued and loved. She never met a stranger that didn’t embrace her, seeing her heart of gold and her openness to love others. She was a very special woman and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicky Paradise of Hurst, Texas; and Ann Thompson and husband, Steve of Springtown, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Paradise and wife, Jamie, Justin Paradise and wife, Tiffany, Josh Paradise and wife, Jennifer, Krystal Hopkins and husband, Mike, Stephanie Tennison and husband, Eric, Alysia Anderson and husband, Tim, Trisha Drury and husband, David, Carlyn Moeller and husband, Ryan, and Samantha Jivani and husband, Shaan; great-grandchildren, Colten, Canyon, Hunter, Ethan, Savannah, Sully, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Joshua, Joanna, Donnie, Andrew, Haley, Jacob, Brandon, Lucchese, Jolene, Max, Emy, Dax, and Jacqueline; 2 great-great grandchildren, George and Seth; Doris is also survived by her sister, Kay Gibbs; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
