Dorothy Ree Bradford

HURST- Dorothy Ree Burrow-Bradford, a retired teacher, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at home.

Dorothy Ree Bradford, was born on May 1,1932 in Sulphur Bluff, Texas. She graduated from Paris High School in 1949. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education in 1960 and her M. Ed. in 1969. She was a Reading Specialist and also certified in Supervision and Library Sciences. She had a teaching career in HEB ISD for over 35 years. She had a genuine love for children and a passion for teaching.

Dorothy liked to travel with her husband Wayne and Chihuahua JoJo of 20 years. She liked to fish, read, and attend prayer meetings. She has been a member of the Church of God for over 50 years. She also enjoyed bible study at Life Fellowship Church. Dorothy left behind a legacy of children and grandchildren, love for her country and an eternal impression on the many she helped during her life. May her memory continue to live through us.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Loyd “Wayne” Bradford, her daughter Debbie West and her husband Jim; her grandchildren Bradford and David Daniel, Lacey and Dr. Brett West and three great grand children; her brother Earl Burrow, his wife Ann, two sisters Gay Gilbert, her husband Jackie, and Peggy Stewart, her husband Travis; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Erbert and Texarkana Burrow-Lanier; her daughter Dyanna Daniel, her son in law, Jim Daniel, and grandson James Daniel.

Memorial donations suggested to be made to Gideons International Association, 1060 W. Pipeline Road, Ste 108 Hurst Texas 76053.
