Dorothy Jean Gazda

Dorothy Jean Gazda, 66, peacefully passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, surrounded by friends and family.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Cistercian Abbey Monastery, 3550 Cistercian Road, Irving 75039.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Metroplex Magyar Cultural Circle are appreciated, in care of Bela Marton, 211 Lynge, Allen, Texas 75013.
A devoted mother, Jeannie loved adventures with her daughters and happily embraced the role of "Nagymama," or grandmother. Mrs. Gazda was also an extremely active member of the DFW Hungarian community. Her generous heart, quiet strength, and constant smile will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Gazda was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Imre Gazda, and her parents, Carl and Dorothy Goerte.
Survivors: She is survived by daughter, Giselle Jenkins and husband, Young Christian; daughter, Elisabeth Kaylor and husband, Brian; grandsons, David and Alexander Kaylor; and partner, Terry Allen.
