Dorothy Jo Kendrick

Dorothy Jo Presley Kendrick, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother passed Monday, February 7, 2022 (2 days shy of her 93rd birthday).

Born February 9, 1929 in Henderson, Texas to Bob Presley and Della Evelyn Tallant Presley.

She and her younger sister, Wilma Lee, were raised by family members after their mother and grandmother's early deaths. They had very strong work ethics instilled from all their hard work on the farm. She loved outdoors, gardening and could make anything grow.

Dorothy had five girls in seven and one-half years. She was always a very stubborn, hardheaded and independent woman and raised four girls to be the same. Daughter #2 died early at 18 months.

Preceded in death by her husband, Alva; daughters, Dorothy Gail Kendrick Mc Caskill Barnes, Lana Sue Kendrick; sister, Wilma Lee Decker; grandchildren, Terri Lynn Todd and Jerry (Bubba) Don Mc Caskill Jr.

Her legacy continues through her daughters, Brenda Kendrick, Deborah Thornton and Carmen Barnett; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and brother, Robert Presley.

Visitation will be held at 10 am, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main Street, Keller, Texas 76248. Funeral Service will begin at 11 am, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Lucas Funeral Chapel with committal service to follow at Bourland Cemetery, Keller Texas.
