Dorothy N. Kritz

Mrs. Dorothy N. Kritz, age 97, of Grapevine, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.
Dorothy was born on April 20, 1919 in Lincoln County, Missouri to Floyd Russell Ingram and
Beulah H. Gooch. She married Gerald Kritz on August 15, 1945 who preceded her in death on October 29, 1990. She is survived by her son, Jerry Kritz and wife Doris of Grapevine, TX and three grandchildren, Mark (and wife Migena), Erik (and wife Erin) and Alyson. In addition she had two great grandsons Sami and Sai.
Dorothy spent most of her life in Louisiana, Missouri where she graduated from Louisiana High School and was a long time member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. From 1948 to their retirement, she and Gerald ran the Kritz Television appliance store in Louisiana. In 1998 she moved with her family to Grapevine, Texas. While there she became a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Grapevine Senior Center where she served as president for five years and was the Centers representative to the Grapevine City Council.
Dorothy requested that she be buried next to her husband Gerald in the River View Cemetery in Louisiana, Missouri. A private family memorial service will be held at a later time.
Dorothy Nell Kritz was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had an enormous capacity to love and care for people. Her impact on her family and everyone she knew was huge. Her love is eternal and the greatest legacy of her life.
