Dr. William Robert Denison, 78, of Fort Worth, TX passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
Bill was born on January 31, 1939 in Ponca City, OK to the late Wilma and Robert Denison. Bill spent his younger years in Ponca City until he attended University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. There he pledged Delta Tau Delta and became a lifelong Sooner fan. Bill transferred to Washington University in St. Louis, MO where he met his future bride Linda Daniel. Bill and Linda wed in 1963 and Bill completed his studies to become a Doctor of Dental Surgery the following year. After dental school, Bill joined the Navy where he was stationed at the Great Lakes Training Center in Waukegan, IL. In 1967, Bill and Linda moved to Houston, TX where Bill started his own private practice. Bill and Linda were blessed with two daughters, Elizabeth and Julie. Bill enjoyed coaching his daughters’ softball teams, gardening and wood carving. He was active with the City of Spring Valley (Houston) for over twenty years. During this time he served on the Planning and Zoning Commission, was a long term City Councilman and presided as Mayor. After retiring, Bill and Linda moved to Fort Worth, TX in 2007 to be closer to grandchildren. Bill was active with Heritage’s senior groups and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed traveling with Linda, playing poker and Bunco, watching Sooner football, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Denison; daughters, Elizabeth and husband Brian Young, Julie and husband Thomas McCullam; grandchildren, Grant and Addie Young, Connor and Avery McCullam; sister, Karen and husband Don Graul; He also leaves behind loving in-laws, several nieces, a nephew, extended family, and dear friends.

Service: We will celebrate Bill’s life at 10am, Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Lucas Funeral Home Keller Chapel.
