Ue Shane Gage

d. September 3, 2022

Drue Shane Gage, age 58, went to his heavenly home on September 3rd, 2022. He was born to Gloria Jones and Murray Body Jr. on November 13, 1963 in Pampa, TX.
He graduated in 1983 from Perryton High School in Perryton, TX.
On December 28, 1980, Drue married the love of his life, Karen L. Smith. From that day forward you would not see one without the other.
Drue and Karen raised their family and attended Full Gospel Church in Perryton, TX. They led Sunday school groups, youth groups, and were heavily involved in youth sports as well as the community, until their move to Granbury, TX in 2008. While in Granbury they were members of Stonewater Church where they led life-groups and helped start a marriage ministry. They developed many lifelong friendships along the way. In 2020, they moved to Bedford, TX to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren and quickly found a church home at First Baptist Grapevine. Drue and Karen served as Sunday school leaders together. Drue was heavily involved in the men’s ministry and was indoctrinated as a deacon of the church in January of 2022.
Drue found joy in everything outdoors such as fishing, camping, hiking, riding his motorcycle, laying on the beach and playing in the pool. Everywhere he went he was led by the Lord to minister to everyone he encountered. His smile and laugh would light up the darkest of places. His grandchildren will always know him by his big bear hugs and the love that their Poppy gave them.
Drue lived and walked by his faith. His love for the lord and legacy of faith lives on through his wife and best friend of over 42 years, Karen Gage; son Jeremy Gage and wife Amber of Amarillo, TX, daughter Jaclyn Oteo and Roy of Grapevine, TX, grandchildren Gabriel Oteo and Sophia Oteo, Ari Mincey and Isla Mincey. Surviving siblings are brother Donny Barton (wife Patricia), brother David Gage (late wife Carolyn), brother Todd Gorman (wife Sheri), sister Bonnie Sensing (husband Steve), sister Mendi Lassiter (husband Rodney), brother Murray Body (wife Tammy), and his beloved mother figure & aunt Judy Gorman.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Gage, father Murray Body Jr., and his beloved father figure & uncle Kenneth Gorman.
