Edgar (Eddie) Clinton Hinds

Eddie C. Hinds, 78, passed into eternal life surrounded by loved ones on Friday, November 26, 2021, in Bedford, Texas. Eddie was born May 17, 1943 in Merkel, Texas, to Bruce W. Johnson and Oleta Francis Johnson.

Eddie lived in and loved Texas all of his life. He retired from Miller Brewing Company in Fort Worth, Texas, after 41 years of service. Eddie loved God, his family, Ford trucks, and Dr. Pepper. His tall, handsome, gentlemanly presence will be greatly missed by family and friends. We suspect he is entertaining children in Heaven with his Donald Duck imitation.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joyce Swindell; his brother Milton (PeeWee) Johnson, and his step-son Shane McGuffin.

Survivors: His loving wife of 8 years, Vickie; his son Jeff Hinds; his daughter Angela Monk; his step-daughters Michell McDaniel and Amy Best; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Hinds; sisters Pat Green and Linda Gaithright; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6 - 8 pm on Friday, December 3, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, Texas 76053.
Service of Remembrance: 10 am on Saturday, December 4, also at Lucas Funeral Home.

Interment: Immediately after service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville, Texas 76034.
