Eddie Glenn Rhoads, age 68, beloved husband, father, and affectionately known as Big Daddy to his grandchildren, went to be with the Lord on January 26th, 2021 after a valiant fight with covid-19. Eddie was born in Birmingham, Alabama on July 28, 1952 to Asa Albert and Bobbi Earlene Rhoads completing the family with his older sister Pam. Eddie married his perfect match, Sue Ingram while still in college on December 20, 1971. Newly married, Eddie turned a part time job into a highly successful 49 year career in the wholesale plumbing supply business. Eddie had a passion for his family, career and golf. A yearly trip to the Texas coast with the entire Rhoads family was a tradition started by Eddie's parents which continued through this past year. His favorite moments of the year were spent sitting on the deck of a beach house with his family telling stories, playing golf with his friends and telling stories and working and telling stories. Eddie loved to laugh and tell stories! Eddie was known to never have a bad day, always have a tale to tell and a kind word when needed or a stern word when necessary. Eddie loved the Lord, his family, people, and lived life to the fullest. Eddie made sure each moment counted and we were all blessed to share these moments with him.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Al and Earlene Rhoads of Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ingram Rhoads; his two children, Amanda and Matthew, their spouses, five grandchildren, Landon Huggins, Hannah Huggins, Benjamin Huggins, Hadley Rhoads, and Kinsley Rhoads; four nieces; one nephew; and his sister, Pam McKnight Willingham.
