Eddy Wilks

HASLET -- Eddy Dean Wilks, 65, passed away at his home with his loving family present Saturday, July 7, 2012.        Memorial service: 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Keller, 225 Keller Parkway, with the senior pastor, the Rev. Keith Sanders, officiating. Inurnment: 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery Columbarium, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Reception: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the parlor of First Baptist Church of Keller.        Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor Eddy's memory with gifts in his name to First Baptist Church Keller Mission Fund, 225 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248.        Eddy Dean Wilks was born Oct. 14, 1946, in Santa Fe, N.M., to Eugene and Juanita Wilks. He graduated from Clovis High School and technical school in Dallas. Eddy proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy 1969-1973. He worked for IBM for 34 years. Eddy was a member and a deacon of First Baptist Church of Keller.        Eddy was preceded in death by his parents.        Survivors: Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Frances Wilks; son, Dr. Timothy Wilks and wife, Lauri; daughter, Dean-na Warner and husband, Dr. Mark Warner; son, Matthew Wilks; granddaughters, Clara and Nell; brother, Jerry Wilks and wife, Roxie; sister, Inez Rose and husband, Dave; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lewis and Frankie Johnson; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends he dearly loved.
