Edgar Louis Harris

Edgar Louis Harris passed away peacefully on March 23, 2020 at 87 years old. Ed was born February 6, 1933 to Manuel and Lois Harris in Willow, Oklahoma during the Great Depression. It was not an easy time to live in Oklahoma as it was plagued by drought and dust bowls, but these hard times helped form Ed’s strong work ethic. He served his country in the Coast Guard during the Korean War and then began his longtime career in the Postal Service. Although he went to many places in the Coast Guard, in 1957 he came back home and met and married the love of his life Joan Brewer. Ed is survived by three daughters, Cynthia and sons Jason and Joe, Patricia and husband, Mark and son Chris, Louisa and son Aidan, and great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
