Edgar Warren Smith

Mr. Edgar Warren Smith passed away on December 8, 2017 in Fort Worth.

Visitation: The family will greet guests from 3-6 pm Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at the North Texas Church of Christ, 1290 FM 407, Justin TX, 76247.

Ed, Eddie, Jellybean, Daddio, Paw Paw… Whatever name he was known by he was loved by everyone. If you didn’t love him he would make you, whatever he needed to do. On the road, as a Transportation Specialist, he made friends everywhere. He retired from Bunzl after 32 years but he kept the name Jellybean forever.

The Good Ol’ boys Azle League was his second family every week and whatever pool tournament he could get to. The VFW was his second home, running tournaments himself for years in multiple locations.

To so many he was Daddio. If you needed anything he would do whatever he could do help.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Edgar and Myrna Smith; brothers, Alex and Dean; and sister, Helen.

Edgar is survived by his wife, Deborah Smith; son, James Edgar Nezat, granddaughter, Savannah, and grandsons, Grant and Brant; son, Brice Edward and his spouse, Marti; son, Brian Earl; son, Brandon Eli and his spouse, Jacki, and granddaughter, Savannah; son, Brentley Erin and his spouse, Heather, and grandson, Daniel; son, Blaine Eric and his spouse, Candice, and grandson, Braden Eric; daughter, Charity Purcell, and grandson, Skyler; daughter, Darlene Sanders and her spouse, Todd, and granddaughter, Summer; and sisters: Juanita, Marie, and Evelyn.
