Edmundo Eduardo

Edmundo (Mundo or Sungu as many knew him) was born to the late Edmundo Eduardo Sr. and Hilda Ma. Johnson on February 14, 1937 in Panama City, Panama. Mundo grew up both in the community of Marañon and Rio Abajo. He attended the great Instituto Nacional from where he received his high school diploma. He worked at the Hotel Continental until he left Panama and relocated to New York in 1967. It was there where he met the love of his life Priscilla who preceded him in death. Mundo and Priscilla were united in matrimony January 24th 1970. This union blessed them with their son Edmundo III(Tre). They relocated to Euless in 1979 where he then started his career with ABDick from where he retired in early 2000’s. 

Mundo was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and a dear friend to many. He never met a stranger in his life. He fathered one but was a father figure to so many and his passion for music made him a true connoisseur. 

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Mundo transitioned to eternal rest in Euless, TX. Mundo was preceded in death by his mother Hilda Johnson, father Edmundo Eduardo Sr. , wife Priscilla Eduardo, sister Edwilda Eduardo, brothers Jaime Manito Johnson and Guy C. Eduardo. He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories, his son Edmundo Eduardo III (Candi), three grandsons Parish Miguel, Caleb and Cristion Eduardo, sister Elizabeth Johnson, brothers Cortez C Eduardo aka Roy and Edmundo Eduardo II aka Mundito, daughter/niece Ictzel Dumas(Kelly), Elia Woodruff, an array of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends considered as extended family who will miss him dearly.

In the end, Mundo's legacy of love, generosity, and joy will live on through the countless lives he touched. His memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with those he loved, and may we find comfort in the knowledge that he is now watching over us, always with a warm smile and a song in his heart.
