Edna Earl Arnold

Edna Earl Arnold was born in Birthright, TX to Richard and Maudie Lee Crowson on August 17, 1931. She went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2016. She was 85 years old.

Edna is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Charles Arnold; daughters, Patricia Mitchell and husband Larry, Janie Osborne, Vicki Jones and husband Tommy. She was a wonderful and caring Memaw to 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was raised on a farm in rural east Texas. She had 12 brothers and 2 sisters. Edna moved to Dallas, TX at the age of 17. After her marriage to Charles, in 1950, they moved to Hurst, TX. Edna worked for Dr. John J. Boluch for 22 years, as his office manager. They were very dear friends.

After that, she and Charles started their own successful home building business, where Edna kept everything running smoothly until retirement in 1982. During all of her working career, she was also an accomplished seamstress and made most of her daughter’s clothes.

Edna and Charles traveled the world together, visiting 22 countries. They spent several years at Lake Fork where they enjoyed fishing and the outdoors with many friends and family. They loved dancing, trips to Las Vegas and spending time with all their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She and her daughters’ were blessed to enjoy many “girls” weekend trips before her memory was
affected by Alzheimer’s. Edna was a loving wife, mother and Memaw. She has suffered from Alzheimer’s for the past 10 years. We will miss her dearly; however, our memories of her will be in our hearts forever. We know she is in Heaven rejoicing with her Heavenly Father and many family members. And that knowledge provides us with comfort and peace.
