Fort Worth -- Edna May Chan Wilson passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Edna was born in Marlboro, Mass., on July 25, 1931. Her parents had emigrated from China. She joined the U.S. Air Force after high school and was stationed at Carswell AFB. After her service, she started working for the Federal Aviation Administration in Fort Worth, where she met her future husband, Glenn, who also worked there.
In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at Golden China restaurant, one of the first Chinese restaurants in Tarrant County. There she made many friends that still consider her "Mom" and family to this day.
Edna was preceded in her death by her husband, Glenn, of 47 years.
Survivors: Brother, George Chan and wife, Donna, of Marlboro, Mass.; son, Steve Wilson and wife, Susan, of Fort Worth; daughter, Julie Melman and husband, Paul, of North Richland Hills; son, David Wilson and wife, Amy, of Plano; grandchildren, William, Andrea, Sarah and Alex; and many family members and friends.
