BURLESON -- Edward Earl "Tommy" Belknap, 78, of Burleson passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, in Cleburne after a long illness.

Edward was born Nov. 14, 1936, in Adrian, W.Va., to Earl and Goldie Belknap and was raised in Charleston, W.Va.
At just 17 years of age, Edward entered the U.S. Air Force and served 14 years as a aircraft mechanic. Edward and his wife, Barbara, relocated in 1982 to Burleson, and he worked for Vought until his retirement. He spent his retirement years surrounded by family and friends.
Survivors: His wife of 59 years, Barbara; daughters, Melody and husband, Charlie Iden, Cheryl and husband, Steven Dennis, and Diana Belknap; son, Leroy and wife, Tracy Belknap; sister, Louise Keen; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
