Edward Carlock Hobbs passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Wednesday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel-Keller. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. prior to services.

Edward was born October 7, 1955 to the late Charles Vincent and Virginia Hobbs. He worked at Six Flags during college as an engineer driving the train. Edward spent over 30 years working for the railroad. He was last employed at Amtrak as a passenger engineer. Edward was also the president of Operation Life Saver Board. He was an avid New England Patriots Fan. Edward was a skydiving enthusiast, loved fishing, boating, camping, and grilling. He rode a few wild horses and a bull at the rodeo in his day. Edward also enjoyed attending NHRA Drag racing events and snow skiing.
Survivors: Wife, Connie J. Hobbs; son, Erick Edward Hobbs; siblings, Chuck Hobbs and Susan Southard; nieces and nephews, Catherine Timmons, Sara Hobbs Embrey, Patrick Dale Kimball, Michael Vincent Kimball, and Grant Alan Kimball.
