Ed Lewis, Jr. passed away on September 24th at age 60, after a long battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on March 2nd, 1963 in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was a longtime resident at Euless, Texas.
Ed was married to the love of his life, Beth, who he married at age 23. They have two children, Cody and Daniel, and one grandson, Benjamin, who were the lights of his life. He was a veteran from the Air Force, and continued his career as a property maintenance manager, electrician and warehouse manager.
He is predeceased by his father, Edward Lewis, Sr., who he lost last September, and his mother, Annie Loreace Lewis, who passed away November 2013.
He is survived by his spouse, Beth Lewis, his sons, Cody Lewis and Daniel Lewis and grandson, Benjamin James Lewis, and his two sisters, Lori Baumann and Earleen Sesvold, and their children.
Through the years, Ed enjoyed yard work, keeping the standard of best yard on the block, coaching little league baseball for his sons, and reminiscing of his years spent in his youth, at American Samoa. He also loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews, who knew him as Uncle Buddy, a name he chose because he wanted to be a close friend and buddy to them. He was a hard worker who enjoyed working, almost always working more than 40 hours a week and receiving multiple awards. In his latter years, he became rejuvenated with the arrival of his grandson, Ben, who he cherished, giving him the role of Pop-Pop,

. With the onset of his cancer, Ed kept a heavy heart knowing children were going through this horrible disease.
His funeral service will be at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst, Texas at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 30th. Visitation is Friday evening, September 29th from 6-8 p.m. His body will be buried at DFW National Cemetery at a future date.
