Lee Settle, 91, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Friday at Shady Oaks Baptist Church. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Interment: Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas.

Lee was born June 14, 1925, in Plainview, Texas to Bud Settle and Lois Chambers Settle. Lee was drafted into the Marine Corp in WW-II and served in the South Pacific from 1943-1946. He was honored on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. for veterans in 2013. Lee was an honorable man that loved his service to his Country and his love for Jesus Christ. His greatest pride was his family and his growing list of grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a member of Shady Oaks Baptist Church for 48 years.
Survivors: Wife, Virginia (September 29th they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage); Son Larry and wife Darlene; Daughter Sharon, Daughter Teresa and husband Barry; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
