Edward Sledz, resident of Fort Worth, TX, formerly of Zyrardow, Poland, passed away on November 27, 2023 at the age of 70.
Edward was born and raised in Poland. He started working at the age of 7 at a train station, later starting his next career in construction. He met his wife in Africa and soon after started a family. He then moved to the United States to provide a better life for his family. Here he became and retired as a Machinist. He was known as a hard-worker and was well-loved in many facets of his life. He was admired for his courage, confidence and kindness.
Edward was active in his life and stayed physically active with going to the gym, Karate, taekwondo and racket ball. Edward had many skills and hobbies that included playing pool, watching the Dallas Cowboys, building his own projects, watching action and western movies and working on crossword puzzles. His Catholic faith was important to him, as well. Besides the things he enjoyed doing, he was a cheerful, humorous man that loved his family.
He is survived by his wife Gina Sledz, son Chris Sledz, grandchildren Aneilya Sledz and Deacon Sledz.
The visitation service will be held on December 4, 2023 from 8:30AM-9:30AM at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home 518 SW Johnson Ave, Burleson, TX 76028.
The funeral service will be held on December 4, 2023 at 10:00AM at St. Ann Catholic Church.
