Edwin Glenn Morgeson

October 15, 1943 — January 26, 2023

Edwin Glenn "Eddy" Morgeson of Flower Mound, Texas passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of 79, in Highland Village, Texas.

Eddy was born on October 15, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Lois Eugene “L.E.” and Clydene Morgeson. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas with his two brothers, Don and Kenny. Growing up he played baseball and continued to love the sport. Later he enjoyed watching his grandkids play and compete in soccer, basketball and jiujitsu. After Eddy completed school, he went on to work as a sheet metal welder for Bell Helicopter for 46 years. Eddy had a strong work ethic and showed perseverance and determination in everything he did. He was someone you could count on and took his responsibilities as a husband, father, grandfather and provider very seriously.

Eddy had two sons, Philip and Barry. When the boys were young, he would take them on camping and hiking trips in the mountains of Colorado and in State Parks. He loved the great outdoors where he could hunt and fish and loved to travel. He loved to play golf and was known to try to cheat on his score. He would say, "Just put me down for a par Barry." Eddy was an ordained minister and pastor. He always put God first in his life. He had a wonderful personality and a fantastic sense of humor as he loved to aggravate and play in a fun-loving way. Eddy loved animals and enjoyed walking Barry’s dog Diesel aka “Boss Dog” daily. He loved watching sports and good old western movies. He also enjoyed Barry’s BBQ feasts on the smoker and loved his “fall off the bone ribs” as he called them. Eddy was a hugger who never met a stranger and was a compassionate, kind and caring man.

Eddy is preceded in death by his parents L.E. and Clydene Morgeson and his brother Kenny Morgeson.

He is survived by his two sons, Barry Morgeson and his wife Misty and Philip Morgeson; grandkids, Cameron, Trinity, Gage “CEO”, Jake, Gavin and Kady; brother, Don Morgeson and his wife Juanita; niece, Tammie Williams; nephews, Josh Little and his wife Trish, Jason Little and his wife Shauna; cousin, Tommy Lee Morgeson and his wife Rosemary; and many more family and friends.

Eddy will be greatly missed. He is always on our minds and forever in our hearts.
